La Ciucculella è molte cose: stabilimento balneare, ristorante, disco-bar e beach-bar. Il nome deriva dalla copertura degli anni cinquanta a forma di conchiglia (ciucculella), in affaccio sul lido di Vasto Marina. Il progetto viene a determinare spazi ben definiti: il centro, la grande vongola, diventa bar e disco; il fronte mare, con gli ombrelloni di giorno e beach-bar di notte; e il plateatico davanti, ristorante e pizzeria.


La Ciucculella is many things: bathing stablishment, restaurant, disco-bar and beach bar. The name derives from the roof built in the 1950s in the shape of a shell (ciucculella), facing onto the sea at Vasto Marina. The design creates well-defined spaces between the centre, the great clam, which becomes a bar and disco, the seafront, with umbrellas in the daytime and a beach bar at night, and the terrace in front, restaurant and pizzeria.
